Spinal Decompression in Indianapolis

Hull Chiropractic stays on top of technology. Spinal Decompression is a form of therapy used by chiropractors to treat many conditions associated with the spine.

This therapy is a non-invasive, non-surgical, FDA approved technique for treating such problems as bulging and herniated discs, degenerative disc disease, pinched nerves, sciatica, and arm pain or leg pain often attributed to your spine asserting pressure on your discs. Poor posture, bad body mechanics, repetitive stress and acute injury can cause your vertebrae to compress your discs or to slip out of alignment which then applies pressure to your discs.

This compressed disc can apply pressure on the nerves exiting the spinal column causing pain in many parts of the body. Another issue stemming from compressed discs is the constriction of the blood and nutrients, which slows down the overall healing of the discs.

So how does spinal decompression happen? The patient lies on a specially designed table that enables the spinal column to be gently pulled. The patient is harnessed in the correct position according to their needs and hooked into a computerized component of the table.

The computer is programmed by the doctor to apply the correct pressure and time which activates the gentle pulling and this creates a small vacuum between the vertebral discs allowing pressure to be relieved and allowing the blood and nutrients to flow around the discs. Over time and repetitive sessions the discs eventually heal and reshape themselves for a more permanent healing of the condition.

At Hull Chiropractic on the West Side of Indianapolis we can offer a free consultation to see if you are a good candidate for spinal decompression.
